Summit Lake is a very clean, deep, and cool lake in Thurston County in Washington State.
Clean? It's oligotrophic (the cleanest trophic class).
Deep? As much as 90 feet at its deepest.
Cool? While the occasional polar-bear swim has been known to happen, the best swimming is July and August.
It's an awesome lake for boating, tubing, skiing, boarding, sailing, paddling, swimming, and fishing. But what's most important to know about the lake is that it is our source of drinking water. Please be considerate in all of your actions to help us preserve this naturally beautiful lake in its pristine state.
