Hello Neighbors -
This email serves as notice that I am calling a Special Member Meeting on July 21st at 7PM. The purpose of this meeting will be to vote to amend our Bylaws with the proposed changes that were presented and discussed at our June 2nd membership meeting of which a quorum was present. The proposed changes have been sent out via email to all current members. The Committee on Policy, Procedure and Bylaws which formed in January, has recently met again (7/6) to consider the need for any changes to the draft presented. All points have been brought to the attention of the committee via both the membership meeting on 6/2 and via email, have been considered fully. It is the opinion of the Committee that the draft presented to membership on 6/2 will remain unchanged at this time, as it is still fully recommended by all committee members. The Committee further recognizes that our Bylaws should continue to be reviewed, and has formed a list of recommended FUTURE amendments, which will be brought forward in future Committee meetings. So, to be clear, while there were additional comments that have validity in the discussion of amendments to the Bylaws, it was felt that they were not germane to the proposed amendment as drafted and approved.
We will be sending copies of the current bylaws and the proposed bylaws with all revisions highlighted, along with the agenda, no later than July 19th so that you all have ample time for review. This Special meeting will be held in person at the clubhouse and on Zoom. We would like to remind those of you that may choose the Zoom option for this meeting, that it may not result in satisfactory participation or the ability to vote, however we will do our best to accomodate all that want to participate in this way.
Your attendance and your vote is important. I do hope that you will take the time to review the changes and come to this special meeting for our required vote. My hope is that this will be a quick meeting and there will be refreshments following.
Thank you all for helping us continue to keep this association functioning well for the community as a whole and thriving for many more years!
