No need to be here the entire time. Any/Every hour helps.
Thurston County provides us with safety vests, trash grabbers and trash bags.
SLCA will provide coffee, juice, soda, cocoa, doughnuts, and cookies.
For those that can’t pick up trash, there is plenty to do at the Community Center.
How it works: SLCA has a large map which has all the areas around Summit Lake, and Summit Lakeshore Road. You sign up for a certain section, pick up the trash, and everything comes back to the clubhouse. We have a resident going around the Lake picking up garbage sacks or items too big to bring to the Clubhouse. We make a big trash pile and then Thurston county will come and pick it up during the week. This has always been a family event for years and young and old come and help.
